Babe Ruth (George Herman Ruth Jr.) did his job to make baseball be an important sport after the Black Sox scandal in 1919. Ruth of age 19 began his career in major league baseball with the Boston Red Soxs. George changed the game from being beaten out at first base to high scoring hard hitting games he made the sport more engaging for all ages. When Ruth began his career he was a minor league player, then he went on to be a major league player with the Red Sox but once he was noticed he was asked to join the New York Yankees. Although Babe did not do anything for the environment, the government, or the public he brightened the spirits of people of all ages. His career taught the young people that when you practice something you can achieve it. Thanks to Mr. Babe Ruth baseball was changed forever.
